The Courtyard Pegswood

Although slightly off the beaten track, The Courtyard is a great addition to the area. It is a striking business as soon as you pull up, my friend and I immediately commented that "no expense was spared". Ample parking and set over two floors the interior boasts a modern yet contemporary aesthetic with really nice deco and finishing touches. You can clearly see the owner is passionate about offering customers a great experience and it doesn't end there; the menu is quite varied with so many lovely things to choose from. We had veggie dishes as well as meat and all of them were exceptional, both taste and presentation. My venison was cooked to perfection and so very well presented which made it even more appetising. All of the staff were exceptional and they done a great job, very professional but with a human element without being overly over familiar. From greeting to being taken to our seat, to being served, everything was faultless, however special attention and credit must go to Eve who was just outstanding. For such a tender age she has attributes I feel a lot of young FOH lack these days and she absolutely blew us away. She was super knowledgeable and old beyond her years and there is no doubt this young lady will go far. Absolutely exceptional from start to finish so much so we actually spent the whole day there and for what we had it was very well priced. We will most definitely be back and will for sure recommend to others.

First experience of The Courtyard in Pegswood....oh wow. Beautiful food, gorgeous coffee and such lovely staff. Our waitress Eve was so bubbly! Service was second to none and the price was soooo reasonable. Definitely a new fave place.

We visited this hidden gem twice over the Christmas period and were more than impressed on both occasions. Staff were extremely attentive, welcoming and very well informed on both occasions. Special shoutout to Reiko and Ella who looked after our party when we visited on New Years afternoon. They both went above and beyond to cater for our needs, and nothing was too much trouble…thanks so much to you both! The food was absolutely amazing and excellent value for money! The Sunday lunch is the best we have ever had! We cannot wait to return in 2025!

Called without a booking and were given a table without hesitation. A very nice relaxed atmosphere. Excellent waiter service. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit. Car parking at the rear of the building or on the roadside 10 metres from the front door.

Amazing Sunday lunch with possibly the best Yorkshire pudding ever tasted (and extras are available) The location is a little odd being surrounded by residential properties but this restaurant is outstanding, on entering you are immediately impressed by the decoration and quality of the furnishings. We opted for the roast beef and I can honestly say it was one of the top 3 Sunday restaurant lunches I have had, huge selection of vegetables all cooked to perfection paid extra for the cauliflower/cheese but the Yorkshire pud was exceptional. Young serving staff were proffesional and extremely friendly.

I recently visited The Courtyard in Pegswood for Sunday lunch with the family, and it was an absolute treat! The roast beef and lamb were cooked to perfection – tender, flavorful, and served with all the traditional trimmings. The generous portions and quality of the meat made it one of the best Sunday lunches we’ve had in a long time. The desserts were a real highlight! The sticky toffee pudding, bread and butter pudding, and chocolate mousse are must-tries – rich, indulgent, and beautifully presented. Each one was packed with flavor and the perfect way to round off our meal. The service was fantastic from start to finish. We were served by a lovely young woman who was friendly, attentive, and efficient, making sure we had everything we needed. We were lucky to be seated near the front window, where there’s plenty of natural light, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back – a brilliant spot for a relaxed family meal with great food and service to match. Highly recommend!

Great find, lovely ambience, and service, and the food was excellent . We had a couple of lovely cocktails, then the scallops and the black pudding to start. The scallops were a little disappointing as we're very small but we're very tasty, the black pudding was perfect. For mains, we had the venison and chicken supreme, which were both delicious. We didn't have a dessert on this occasion, but we will definitely be back. Loved it.
